The latest Census Data shows shifting populations across state lines as migration proves a major force.
Based on the steady beat of news reporting, it’s easy to guess the biggest net declining states: DC (-2.9%); New York (-1.6%); Illinois (-0.9%); Hawaii (-0.7%); and California (-0.7%).
Success lives here–for good reason. With pro-business regulatory environments, more affordable housing, and high quality of life, communities in Arizona (1.4%), Texas (1.1%), and Nevada (1.0%) are, predictably, net beneficiaries.
